I'm A Very Lucky Dog!
I got off to a very rough start in this world. I had some health problems and my first owners were not prepared to deal with my problems and with my size. I went to Last Hope and they helped me with my health problems and help me find my current owner. It was probably the best day I ever had when I found my new home. I am loved and well cared for, I get plenty to eat and above all, I get lots of treats!!
I now try to give back to those who less fortunate by being a Therapy Dog and visiting people in hospitals and nursing homes. I really enjoy meeting new people and also making new friends. In the hospitals, I rarely see the same people on my visits, but I like being able to meet people and help them feel better and help them get well.
In the nursing homes, I get to the same people on my visits and I have made lots of new friends and I look forward to seeing them on each visit. They all seem to enjoy my visits and we share a lot of good times. They all know that I really love treats and especially ice cream.
In the last 2 years, I made several hundred visits to three Hospitals and two Nursing Homes in the area where I live. I have not kept count of how many people I have visited with, but I know its a WHOLE BIG BUNCH!!! I enjoy each and every visit with my new friends!
